Help Often

What does “Help Often” mean?

Part of what makes Sunday Assembly great is it’s drive and desire to put community service as a priority. Sunday Assembly Olympia believes we can be a strong and spirited force for change. Every month we work together on a “Help Often” project. Whether it’s volunteering time at a local charity or event on a single day or collecting donations for a month-long supply drive to help those in need, we are a force to be reckoned with. We think our community is amazing and it’s amazing because of all the people in it and how we work together for the common good.

Local Organizations we have helped include:

Sunday Assembly is a community of action, building lives of purpose. Encouraging all to help anyone who needs it and to support each other.

Current Help Often Project

For our holiday season volunteer project, we will be collecting toys to donate to Toys for Tots!

Guidelines:

  • Leave toys unwrapped
  • Age range: 12 and under
  • No realistic toy weapons

We will be collecting toys from now till mid December. Feel free to bring any donations to our upcoming Friendsgiving party or any volunteer or social event from now until December 12th. If you want to donate but can’t make it to an upcoming event, just let us know and we’ll coordinate with you individually.

About Toys for Tots: The mission of the U. S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program is to collect new, unwrapped toys during October, November, and December each year, and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to less fortunate children in the community in which the campaign is conducted.
